Our 7th to 9th grade students recently explored Panama’s democratic history, electoral processes, and the women’s suffrage movement at the Democracy Museum. The visit provided an immersive experience, igniting their passion for civic engagement and historical understanding.
Venturing through different thematic rooms, students absorbed pivotal information about Panama’s constitutional history and democratic evolution. They gained insights into struggles and triumphs that have shaped Panama’s governance and learned about electoral processes, deepening their comprehension of the democratic framework underlying the nation’s political landscape. The visit also sparked lively debates on pending and future tasks related to upholding democratic principles and ensuring equitable representation within the country’s governance structure.
