Students from 5th grade enquired about the relationships between individuals and civilizations and their interconnection from local and global perspectives.
The IB Central Idea was the comprehension of how cultural manifestations are the product of political, economic, and social processes over time.
Our students explored different topics such as cultural diversity and the ways in which people manifest their culture. Culture generates a sense of identity and belonging. In particular, in this unit, 5th grade researched the Congo culture of Panama and its Afro-colonial element.
