Students from second to fourth grade at our school recently had the privilege of engaging with Janeth Jaen, a distinguished guest speaker, in a captivating session focused on the importance of protecting Panamanian marine life, particularly the endangered manatees. Through interactive discussions and educational presentations, Janeth shared valuable insights into the habitats, behaviors, and conservation efforts surrounding these gentle giants of the sea. The students were deeply inspired by Janeth’s passion and knowledge, gaining a newfound appreciation for the vital role they can play in safeguarding the precious marine ecosystems of Panama. With enthusiastic participation and a growing sense of environmental stewardship, the young learners left the session empowered to make a positive difference in the preservation of Panamanian marine life.
