In 1959, the United Nations Organization (UN) requested that all countries choose a day in their calendars to dedicate to children. The objective is to make visible the importance of protecting children, defending their rights, and ensuring their well-being and education.
In Germany, they hold this day twice a year, on 1st June 1 and 20th September.
CADI, following the German tradition, celebrated Children’s Day on 1st June by doing different sports activities. The children had a great time, and the magic of childhood was in the air. They did relay races, watched films, and ate popsicles and sweets.
This celebration was supported by German culture department.
