Preschool and elementary school students from Colegio Alemán del Istmo immersed themselves in a fascinating summer during the mid-year school vacation season. Together with the school’s teachers and members of the administrative team, they put their creative, artistic, and teamwork skills into practice.
Likewise, the students have participated in excursions in which they have learned to value the natural, cultural, and historical richness of Panama, visiting important tourist attractions in the capital region, such as:
Gamboa
This is a rural town in the Panama Canal watershed, characterized by its lush vegetation and for having been one of the first settlements of American colonists. Today, it houses an important natural reserve.
Biomuseo
The main museum for the biodiversity of Panama was an important building objective of the Panamanian State during the turn of the millennium. It is the only design in Latin America executed by the famous architect Frank Gehry.
Mola Museum
In this exhibition located in Casco Antiguo, students are amazed by the artistic richness and multiple colors of the molas, a unique piece of the costumes of the indigenous communities of Panama.
