Objectives:
• Compare and use of units of measurement of length of the international system.
• Apply calculations of perimeter and area to a specific space.
• Understand and apply area and perimeter formulas to collected data measurements.
Activity:
Students Will work individually creating measuring tapes. Then, they will use the measuring tapes to measure an assigned space inside the school premises, and then calculate the perimeter and area of said space. Students will share information about calculations found to then have an estimate about the area and perimeter their school occupies and present it to the class.
